PDW700 Sony Professional Disc Camcorder The PDW-700 camcorder is the newest member of the XDCAM family. It is equipped with three 2/3-inch type CCDs – a newly developed “Power HAD FX” progressive CCD with 1920 x 1080 effective pixels. Stunning-quality HD images can be captured by this high-resolution CCD in conjunction with the 14-bit A/D converter and advanced digital signal. On top of the exceptional technology, the PDW-700 offers very high quality HD recording at a data rate of up to 50Mbps using the MPEG-2 4:2:2P@HL compression. It also provides multi-format recording flexibility including 1080i, 720P and SD*, which comes with HD/SD conversion and cross conversion between 1080i and 720P*. *Available fall ‘08 $29,800.00 PDWF335L XDCAM HD Camcorder The PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX Camcorder is Sony's exciting new addition to our XDCAM family of professional tapeless acquisition tools and our first offering in the XDCAM EX series of products. The PMW-EX1 utilizes Sony's three newly designed 1/2-inch type "Exmor"™ CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920 x 1080. Coupled with our newly developed signal processing LSI, the PMW-EX1 produces truly exceptional images in 1080p, 720p and 1080i HD. Using another new Sony innovation, the SxS Memory Card flash memory device, very high data transfer speeds are also made possible in order to enhance the High Defintion content creation workflow. Utilizing the MPEG-2 Long GOP CODEC to achieve a balance of quality and the required bit rate, the PMW-EX1 boasts a long recording time - approximately 140 minutes using two 16GB SxS Memory Cards. The PDW-F335L XDCAM HD Camcorder features MPEG HD and DVCAM switchable recording with three 1/2-inch HD CCDs. It is capable of recording 1080 video lines of multiple frame rates at a high bit rate of up to 35 Mbps. It also provides four channels of high-quality uncompressed audio. This allows an SD to HD migration path to a complete HD-based environment. Down-conversion output to SD is a standard feature in this camera. Instant random access, replay of clips, IT network capability and the proxy data advantage provide for an exceptional workflow. The PDW-F335L provides excellent picture quality, adapting Power HAD HD CCDs (1440x1080). It offers HD recording in 1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97P, 25P and native 23.98P and the operator can also select the desired bit rate to record either: 35 Mbps, 25 Mbps and 18 Mbps depending on the desired picture quality and recording length. Being a dual format camcorder, it can also record in DVCAM mode at 25 Mbps. It also supports i.LINK interface for File Access Mode and DV stream output (including down-conversion from HD material). $14,450.00 PDW510 XDCAM Camcorder (DVCAM) The PDW-510, Professional Disc Camcorder, has been designed with special consideration for heavy-duty field acquisition, providing excellent picture quality, operability and reliability inherited from Sony Betacam family of acquisition products. PDW-510 provides excellent picture quality, adapting 16:9/4:3 switchable Power HAD EX CCDs, the same camera block specification as MSW-900, MPEG IMX camcorder. It features DVCAM recording and one built-in optical filter wheels. Uses DVCAM compression recording at 25Mbps up to around 85 min. In addition to these impressive capabilities, PDW-510 also provides numerous innovative features that take full advantage of the benefit of nonlinear disc media. To create and record proxy video & audio as well as various type of metadata, in addition to high resolution video & audio, can provide a completely new style of field operation. With cinematographers in mind, the F23 was designed to provide the highest picture quality with a wide color gamut and over 12 stops of exposure latitude. The F23 also features cinema camera style controls, a robust B4 lens mount, and a ergonomic chassis design that accepts traditional film camera accessories. In addition, the SRW-1 HDCAM SR recorder can be directly docked on either the top or tail of the camera system, or tethered by dual link HD-SDI cabling for mounting flexibility. When the SRW-1 is equipped with the optional HKSR102 board, the F23 can record overcranking, undercranking, slow shutter, and interval recording. The F23 also captures in full 1920 x 1080 progressive in either 4:4:4 RGB color, or 4:2:2 Y/Cb/Cr. HDC1500L444 HDC1500L Camera With 4:4:4 Software The HDC-1500l444 portable camera utilizes an advanced HD DSP with 14 Bit A/D converters. The HDC-1500l444 comes installed with advance software which enables 4:4:4 dual stream output. i The HDC-1500l444 camera comes equipped with a single optical interface for transmitting high-quality digital data over long distances. The camera also provides two HD SDI outputs and one digitally down-converted SDI or analog composite output. In addition, viewfinder signals with characters can be output from the SDI output connector, giving camera operators additional convenience. Furthermore, when in 24P operation, the built-in 2-3 pull-down function of the HDC-1500 enables 60i down-converted SD signals to be output on a standard SD monitor - a capability that also minimizes the flicker that generally occur on the viewfinder.
